Anshuman Gupta is a first-year student in Master of Public Administration program at the Cornell Institute of Public Affairs (CIPA), with a concentration in international development studies. He has extensive experience designing, implementing and evaluating large-scale poverty alleviation programs for the state and local government in India.
Anshuman was last employed with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where he initiated a project aiming to increase household incomes through interventions for skill building, institution strengthening and market linkage. His work with OEI involves parsing through qualitative and quantitative data related to Engaged Cornell courses to draw patterns and situate impact of these courses on student learning outcomes.
Prior to joining Cornell, Anshuman obtained a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, Karnataka, and a post-graduate degree in rural management from Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Gujarat.
